Owner

The New York Times Co. The Herald-Tribune is the third-largest newspaper in the New York Times Co. and the largest newspaper in the New York Times Regional Media Group.

Location

In February 2006, the Herald-Tribune moved its headquarters to a new building at 1741 Main Street in downtown Sarasota. Designed by Miami's Arquitectonica as a 21st Century evocation of the Sarasota school of architecture, the new building has won praise in architecture circles and considerable attention around town.

Newspaper circulation

107,521 daily, 123,856 Sunday (2006 averages).

Readership

The Herald-Tribune reaches more than 364,000 adults weekly, according to Scarborough, 2007.

Circulation area

The newspaper circulates in four counties - Manatee, Sarasota, and Charlotte - south of Tampa Bay on Florida's Gulf Coast.

News bureaus

Bradenton, Lakewood Ranch, Venice, North Port, Port Charlotte, Englewood and Tallahassee. Shared NYTRMG bureau in Washington, D.C.

Zoning:

Every day, the Herald-Tribune produces six zoned local news sections that combine the best regional and state news with news from the local area. In addition, the newspaper often zones page 1A and the sports section, and at least once a week the business section is zoned.

SNN News 6

The area's only 24-hour local television news source, SNN News 6 reaches more than 118,000 television viewers in Sarasota and Charlotte counties - more local news viewers than all other television stations, even those broadcasting from Tampa and Fort Myers. SNN was Florida's first 24-hour news channel and is the nation's only cable station fully integrated into a newspaper, allowing SNN to tap more than 50 print reporters. That makes SNN the largest television news operation between Tampa Bay and Marco Island.

HeraldTribune.com

HeraldTribune.com is the largest media Internet site in the market, reaching more than twice as many local consumers each day as any other site. More than 6 million page views each month, seen by over 600,000 unique visitors.

Magazines

The Herald-Tribune publishes three magazines: Style, Style Home and Gulf Coast Healthy Living.
