COMING OUT TUESDAY
Dave’s World:The First Season
First off, Harry Anderson is a good enough reason to buy any of his shows. This CBS sitcom (1993-97) was based on the writings of Pulitzer Prize-winning Miami Herald humorist Dave Barry. Another good reason.
The Wire: The Complete Fifth Season
In its final season, the HBO drama — one of the most widely praised ever — turned its sights on the Baltimore Sun newspaper, as its newsroom struggles with belt-tightening and diminishing quality.
Smart People
A movie chatfest starring Dennis Quaid as an arrogant professor who finds redemption. Ellen Page, as his daughter, and Thomas Haden Church, as his ne’er-do-well adopted brother, are the scene stealers.
Caroline in the City: The First Season
In this 1995-99 NBC sitcom, Lea Thompson played a cartoonist whose “Cathy”-like strip is based on her life. The true star was her sharp-tongued neighbor, played by Amy Pietz.
ALSO OUT TUESDAY:
“Prison Break: Season Three,” “South Park: The Complete Eleventh Season,” “That Girl: Season Four,” “The Love Boat: Season One, Volume Two,” “Brand Upon the Brain! Criterion Collection,” “Tru Calling: The Complete Series,” “Watching the Detectives,” “The Secret,” “The Search for John Gissing,” “Felon,” “The War of the World: A New History of the 20th Century,” “The Dick Francis Thriller: The Racing Game,” “Jane Goodall’s When Animals Talk.”
