MANATEE -- After closing Tuesday in anticipation of Hurricane Fay, the Manatee School District and all its classes and normal operations will resume Wednesday, officials said today.
Classes and programs will resume as normal, district spokeswoman Margi Nanney said.
Parents, students and employees are reminded that schools will operate under the normal Wednesday schedule, which is different than other days of the week. Classes end earlier on Wednesdays to make time for staff planning and training.
The schedule on Wednesdays is as follows: elementaries run from 8:30 a.m. to 1:15 p.m.; middle schools run from 9:15 a.m. to 2:10 p.m.; and high schools go from 7:45 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
