Coastal Printing hires marketing director

Coastal Printing Inc. of Sarasota recently hired Jason P. Holderness as director of marketing and business development.

Catholic Charities hires new manager

Catholic Charities, Diocese of Venice, has hired Dr. Tam Sicard to oversee all programs and services in Sarasota and Manatee counties. Sicard will manage the Catholic Charities Counseling Programs, Our Mother's House, Bethesda House, Joseph's Place, Casa San Jose, St. Martha's Early Learning Center, Financial Assistance Program and Catholic Charities of Manatee County, where immigration, housing counseling and citizenship services are offered.

SunTrust donates cash to Girls Inc.

Girls Inc. of Sarasota County recently received a $5,000 donation from SunTrust Bank for its MicroSociety program, which introduces girls to important economic concepts that impact their future financial literacy.

Sunset Automotive helps four students

Robert W. Geyer, president of Sunset Automotive Group, recently announced that there were four winners of the Geyer Scholarship Award this year: Justin Williams, who will study finance and accounting at the University of Central Florida. His father, Mike, works at Coast Volvo; Daiquiri Frieling majors in nursing at Manatee Community College. Her father, Steve, works at Sunset Chevrolet; Jessica Horton will attend MCC to study guidance counseling. Her father, Matthew Clarke, works at Saturn of Sarasota.; and Cassandra Pietrantone will study sports management at the University of Florida. Her father, Mike, works at Coast Infiniti. The value of the scholarships ranges from $1,000 to $2,000 a year.
