Business buzz: Johnson to help write Florida pool code

Dan Johnson, owner of Sarasota-based swimming pool designer and builder Swim Inc., has been selected by the Florida Swimming Pool Association, in cooperation with the Building Officials Association of Florida, to write code commentary for the swimming pool safety section of the new Florida Uniform Building Code, which goes into effect in December. Code commentary is designed to help building officials interpret new sections of the code. Johnson was a member of the national writing committee, which produced the safety language adopted by the Florida Building Commission into the current code.
Allegra earns interior design certification
Connie Allegra, owner of Sarasota Interior Design, recently received her NCIDQ certification in interior design. She also has become a professional member of the American Society of Interior Designers.

Local computer consulting company LEDS of Sarasota Inc. recently announced its establishment as a managed services provider.
Puerto Rican expo
set for Saturday
