School boundaries established

EAST MANATEE - School Board officials Wednesday night agreed on new attendance boundaries for Freedom and Gullett elementary schools.
The new zones mean students from east Bradenton neighborhoods will continue to be bused to schools east of Interstate 75 next year.
This year, to increase diversity and reduce expected crowding at Freedom, 71 new elementary students from a neighborhood south of State Road 64 at 27th Street East were assigned to Gullett Elementary, a round trip of 18 miles for some students.
From next year, students on the east side of 27th Street East will be assigned to Freedom. Students that wish to remain at Gullett will be able to do so.
